Bridging Worlds
Bridging Worlds
An energetic and uplifting afternoon of choral storytelling is in store as EnChor welcomes you to Bridging Worlds – music that moves, sparkles, and swings.
Across the program, place shows up as lived experience: the wide prairie under the feet of Mennonite farmers arriving in Saskatchewan, the lift and swing of jazz, a sunrise painted in sound, a sacred text soaring into a vaulted space.
Then the concert turns personal. Well-known Canadian arranger Ron Smail is also an EnChor member, and he and Morna Edmundson share a musical friendship spanning 45 years. With over 400 arrangements to his name, Ron’s work is sung widely, and Bridging Worlds shines a light on his music from the inside out. Suave jazzy writing meets toe-tapping favourites in this delightful showcase that includes an arrangement written for EnChor, plus a world premiere.
Come be part of it. You’ll experience beautiful music and the buzz of appreciating live performance together, in a room that feels brighter because you’re in it with others. You may even get to sing along! Leave feeling lighter, smiling, and genuinely uplifted.
Immediately after the concert, please join us in the East-West Hall across Yew Street from the sanctuary for a social gathering. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
