About Us
Celebrating 20 Seasons
Now in its 20th season, EnChor brings together experienced singers, ambitious repertoire and a shared belief in the enduring power of lifelong choral music.
EnChor is a Vancouver-based, auditioned SATB choir of singers aged 55+ who bring decades of choral experience, musical discipline, and artistry to every performance. Under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Morna Edmundson, C.M., these seasoned performers are deeply at home in their voices, creating a rich, confident sound shaped by a lifetime of ensemble singing and a shared love of choral music.
Since its founding in 2007, EnChor has earned national recognition through festival appearances, collaborations with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and touring within British Columbia. The choir has also served as host choir for BC Choral Federation events, including Senior Chorfest 2025.
Each season, EnChor presents three ticketed public concerts and approximately eight community outreach performances. Through this extensive outreach program, the choir extends the EnChor Experience into care homes and assisted-living communities across the region. Each appearance brings residents a polished, authentic performance shaped by the same musical discipline, artistry and high standards that define EnChor’s public concerts, presented with warmth and a genuine sense of connection.
Across its concerts, outreach and community, EnChor champions lifelong singing—proof that artistry, connection and the joy of making music only deepen with time.
We respectfully acknowledge that our rehearsals and concerts take place on the unceded, traditional, and ancestral territory of the Coast Salish
Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh
(Squamish), and Səlí̓lwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
