From Morna

Good news! The VSO has accepted our application to perform at its 2024 Day of Music with a mid-afternoon time slot on Saturday, June 1.  The exact time and details are TBA, but this allows us to plan for the end of our season together.

Friday, May 24 – will be a rehearsal for everyone.  Singing a bit and socializing a bit.  Details to follow.

Friday, May 31 – a rehearsal only for those singing the VSO Day of Music gig.

Meanwhile, onward to rehearsing for May 5 “Fields of Gold”!  Thanks to all who were able to attend on Friday, March 29.  It was a productive time.

See you Friday!

Repertoire Update

Sting’s performance of “Fields of Gold” is now on the repertoire page. It’s a great help for learning the rhythms of the piece.

Countdown to May 5

Just over one month from now we perform “Fields of Gold” and close our Spring Lottery. Please pass on this information to family and friends. Direct them to enchor.ca/concert for concert tickets and enchor.rafflenexus.com for raffle tickets. EnChor singers are also encouraged to participate in the raffle. There are three great prizes described in detail on enchor.rafflenexus.com.

From Jay Black

Pacific Spirit Choir will be performing Duruflé’s Requiem and other works from the French repertoire, on Sunday, April 21, at 3:00 PM at West Vancouver United Church.  Kevin Zakresky now conducts PSC, and a number of Enchor singers are also singing for PSC:  Heather, Hazel, Gail, Graeme, Jay, as well as Deborrah Keyes.  We can sell you paper tickets, or you can buy them online.

More information is available at www.pacificspiritchoir.com and tickets can be purchased  by clicking here.

It’s shaping up to be an excellent concert with interesting and well-known repertoire (for the most part!).

Jay.
